The Beatles

The Beatles

The Beatles were a rock and pop band from Liverpool, England.Their songs were mostly about love. And later on their song became more about polotics. Their insperations from the songs they wrote came from the things that were around them in the time and from circus posters. Some of them said that they were influinced by Nat King Cole and Elvis. They weren't really an unusual band. There were four members in the group. John Lennon (song writer and singer), Paul McCartney (song writer and singer), Ringo Starr (drummer),and George Harrison (the bassist). They soon became teenagers idols and everyone from around the world knew about them. They did have a big impact on the society because whatever The Beatles told them to do they would do. Or when ever they said many people listend.

The Beatles career started when John Lennon and Paul McCartney met while John was performing with his skiffle band, The Quarry Men. As the two teenagers had the same interest in American rhythm-and-blues and rock music, Paul later joined The Quarry Men as song writer in 1957. The group began playing in a local jazz club, The Cavern. Unfortunately they were baned from playing skiffle tunes. Along came George Harrison and joined in 1958. The Quarry Men competed in a contest in Manchester, as the name of Johnny and the Moondogs. Sadly they didn't come even close to winners, but they enjoyed it allot. In 1960 Stuart Sutcliffe joined in as bass player. He and known John a while back in collage and when they were young they would would hang out at a local coffee bar, The Jacaranda which was owned by Alan Williams. Luckily a London agent and producer, Larry Parnes, asked Williams to nominate four Liverpool groups to back the stars on tours in North England and Scotland. Williams chose Johnny and the Moondogs, but told them to change their name. The name changed to Holly, then The Three Tunes, then The Crickets, and finally they agreed on The Beetles. John told them they change the spelling to "The Beatles."

The group went on a quick tour, making Johnny Gentle go back to Scotland. When they returned to Liverpool they realized that they needed a drummer. This made Pete Best join the group in 1960. When that was all settled, Alan rearranged for them to play in a club located in Germany. While they were at the club they had met Ringo Starr from the 3 other bands they played against. His band was Rory Storm and the Hurricanes. As the tour was over, they returned to Liverpool in late 1960 with Stuart out of their band because he had got engaged with a German woman named Astrid Kirchnerr. Ringo Starr had joined 2 years later.

On April 10, 1970, George Harrison annonced that The Beatles had broken up. They had made 12 albums. many people think different things about which people album was the best and which wasn't, but i think that they are all really good. And after that happened they split up and gone their separate ways. Some had pursued their music career and went solo or as a band leader. They were such a hit that even up today, from toddlers to teenagers, and to adults they listen to The Beatles. Their music will never be forgotten. And sadly, George Harrison had died of cancer in 2001. He will be remembered also.

Great job. You really know the Beatles. You have a few grammar errors that you should fix. Other than that, I don't think that anything needs to be changed.

Good job
in the 1st paragraph you say there are 4 members in the band and you only metion 2. you mite want to say the other 2 names. It is like all you wrote about was the bands history, that is good but you mite want to write why some one would care. if some one who doesn't know the beatels i dont think they will keep reading

here is the hook for our lead, but you almost lost my interest with the first part of that paragraph.

What is a skiffle band?

i did not know that was how they got their name.

Stuart out of their band because he had got engaged with a German woman named Astrid Kirchnerr.
i dont really care about this info. is there any other stuff in there that is unnecesary?

i like your ending.
why did they break up?
Did you adress all of the parts of the outline?
